A wrought iron piece starts with solid bars and rods. Placed in the forge until "white hot", the bars become flexible for a few seconds. Hammered at the anvil by the strike of the blacksmith, the iron comes to life following each curve of the designer's one to one scale renderings.
Alexandra Diez perfected a method for impregnating color by hand rubbing natural tonalities onto the iron. The final transparent coating is applied with the most advanced procedure available for maximum protection and an impeccable finish |

The finishing method was developed following the belief that a fine wrought iron piece must never be painted. Paint not only covers the interesting texture created by the hammer, but also, it will eventually chip.
The "Antique", "Copper" and "Charcoal" finishes were developed to age beautifully, thus complementing each timeless design. |
